Biography
The bond between gesture and matter is one of the key points from which Daniela Rebuzzi’s art branches off, along the lines of a symbolic mix of spirituality and expressive experimentation. Painting and sculpture blend with other elements, in assemblages where words, either in the form of prose or poetry, come together, tokens of an existential codification, also shaped by the artist, in the wake of an aspiration to bring out the soul’s deep solicitations.
Daniela Rebuzzi, a professional of the financial world, through her art in the wonderful setting of the Lake Lugano, has extended her own inner opposites. She has embraced the shamanic philosophy, the values of chromotherapy, the atavistic, intimate and existential bond with Nature, combining dimensions that appear distant but which she actually translates according to a grammar inspirited by forces otherwise intangible, driven by an unusual and bewitching vitality.
A personal universe also heightened by her passion for traveling, which, for Rebuzzi, represents a true inner journey to experience often alone, in order to commune with the places and the cultures she meets, a sort of study that will later translate from her notebooks into her works. Starting from Europe, and thanks to her fluency in five foreign languages, time has allowed her to create a deep connection with near and far lands, such as Siberia, Mexico, India and the Arab world, contemporary grand tours that have left an imprint in her artistic work, in terms of a constant growth towards a new knowledge, awareness and experiences. A dimension also magnified in the psyche – oneiric – domain, in which Daniela Rebuzzi masterfully unifies the unconscious universe with the vigil life, whose primigenial connection is the source, for the artist, of a subsequent study that would later translate into an artistic transposition.
Therefore, since 2013, the appreciation for her work has been growing, also thanks to international exhibitions and events, in Italy – her family’s country of origin – in France, Great Britain, Spain and Austria and, overseas, in the United States, in Miami and New York, in particular, with personal exhibits or through important shared projects with other artists.
